What It Is

ETUDE Soon Jung Whip Cleanser is a pre-aerated foam facial cleanser formulated for sensitive, reactive, and easily-irritated skin. It dispenses already whipped into a soft, dense foam — no foam net, no working it up between your hands — so skin contact time and friction stay low from the first touch. Built on a short, deliberately minimal ingredient list centered on Panthenol and Madecassoside, it cleanses without leaving the tight, stripped feeling that follows most foaming cleansers.

Why It's Different

The pH number on the label actually matters here.

Most foaming cleansers sit around pH 9–10 — alkaline enough to disrupt the skin's naturally acidic barrier with every wash, which is a large part of why cleansing so often leaves skin feeling tight or reactive afterward.

This one is formulated at pH 6.5 — close to skin's own slightly acidic range — so it cleanses without pushing the barrier into the same alkaline shock.

How to use

1 Wet Your Face First Splash face with lukewarm water before dispensing — this helps the pre-whipped foam spread evenly. 2 Dispense 1–2 Pumps The foam comes out already built — no need to work it up further with a net or your hands. 3 Massage Gently, 30–60 Seconds Use light circular motions across the face, avoiding the eye area. Let the low-friction foam do the work rather than scrubbing. 4 Rinse With Lukewarm Water Hot water strips the barrier further — lukewarm is gentler and more consistent with the formula's purpose. 5 Pat Dry, Then Continue Your Routine Follow immediately with toner while skin is still slightly damp to lock in moisture.
